Data privacy policy

A visit to our website can result in the storage on our server of information about the access (date, time, page accessed). This does not represent any analysis of personal data (e.g., name, address, or e-mail address).

We point out that for reasons of a simplified booking process and subsequent contract processing, the operator of this website will store the IP data of the subscriber via cookies.

Moreover, the following data will be stored, since they are necessary for the processing of the contract: first name, last name, email, phone, and year of birth (for retreats/short trips only). The data provided by the customer are essential for the performance of the contract as well as for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without these data, we are not able to conclude the contract with the customer. There will be no transmission of the customer’s data to third parties, except the transmission of name, email, phone to the booking software provider TicketingHub, as well as the transmission of bank details to the processing payment service providers / banking institutions (Stripe) in order to effect payment as well as to our tax consultant to meet our fiscal obligations.

After cancelling the booking process, all stored data will be deleted. In case of conclusion of contract, the data of the contractual relationship will be stored until the end of the fiscal retention period (7 years).

Data processing takes place on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as the Art 6 Abs 1 lit a (Einwilligung=consent) und/oder lit b (notwendig zur Vertragserfüllung=necessary for contractual performance) of the DSGVO.

We would like to expressly point out that the transmission of data via the Internet (e.g., by e-mail) can offer security vulnerabilities. It is therefore impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by third parties. We cannot assume any liability for damages arising as a result of such security vulnerabilities.

The use by third parties of all published contact details for the purpose of advertising is expressly excluded. We reserve the right to take legal steps in the case of the unsolicited sending of advertising information; e.g., by means of spam mail.

Server Data

For technical reasons, data such as the following, which your internet browser transmits to us or to our web space provider (so called server log files), is collected: – type and version of the browser you use – operating system – websites that linked you to our site (referrer URL) – websites that you visit – date and time of your visit – your Internet Protocol (IP) address. This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal information you may have provided, thereby making it impossible to connect it to any particular person. The data is used for statistical purposes in order to improve our website and services.

Use of Google Analytics with anonymisation

Purpose of Registering

We offer you the opportunity to register online for a retreat or short trip on our website. The information entered when signing up, as shown in the registration form – name, year of birth, email, phone – is collected and stored solely for use by us. None of this information is transferred to third parties.

Newsletter

We use the newsletter to provide you with regular updates about our offers. Cancellation is possible at any time. The following consent has been expressly granted by you separately, or possibly in the course of an ordering process: You can subscribe for the newsletter by entering your name and email address. We will then check the email address entered to ensure that you are actually its owner or if its owner has agreed to receive our newsletter. By registering for the newsletter, we will save your IP address and date and time of registration. This will be used in case a third party misuses your email address to subscribe to our newsletter without your knowledge.

We will not compare the data collected during newsletter registration with any other data that might be collected by other components of our site.

We use MailChimp to send our newsletter to our subscribers. MailChimp is a service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA.

The data stored when you registered for the newsletter (email address, name, IP address, and time and date of registration) will be sent to a server operated by The Rocket Science Group in the United States and stored there in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Using Stripe as a payment method

If, while booking a service online with us, you decide to use Stripe as an online payment service, your contact details will be sent to Stripe during the booking process. Stripe takes over the function of an online payment service provider, and allows you to make cashless payments for products and services over the Internet.

The personally identifiable information sent when you use Stripe usually comprises your first name, last name, IP address, e-mail address, or other data required for processing your order, including the number of articles ordered, the article number, the invoice amount, percentage taxes and invoice details etc.

This information needs to be transferred to process your order using your chosen payment method, mainly in order to confirm your identity and manage your payment and the customer relationship.

Please note the following however: Stripe may also pass on your personal data to subcontractors or other affiliates, to the extent necessary for fulfilling the contractual obligations arising from your order or for processing the personal data in your order.
